Hi Dave my name is Terry Westlund i served with your dad in Borneo in A coy . i remember one time my self and your dad visited a Iban Long house and we had Iban tatoos done. i so sorry to hear of your dads passing this is the first i knew since reading your article , i now live in Thailand i have been living out here for nearly 5 years now , i sorry i dont have any photo of your dad , i lost most of mine when moving around,

small world.. i can remember my mum saying that my dad lived in wales he visited once in a while. then mum passed away in 1988 i went to find him. and i did it was only a visit and there was a few tears i found out i had a half brother mathew & a half sister laurain..aftter a couple of days i moved back up to edinbourgh where i have been living for most of my 21 years i did'nt keep in touch with them i soppose there was no bond but always thought of them as specaily my dad.. then my big brother passed away... i then moved down to folkestone in 91 were i was born. i got 3 kids the oldests the same age as when i found my dad witch is scarey... i moved to cherinton in 2005... around 2008 i was going into town the bus came and it was packed. there was an old man at the back and he said you can sit here if i wanted too in a scottish voice.cheers i said in my scottish twang. he asked were i was from and i said edinbourgh, but i was born in folkestone as my mum married my dad who was in the army. witch army he asked i said the kings scottish boarders..i was in there too he said what was his name he asked , i said andrew stewart, he then told me that every year all the army boys would meet up at the armys mess in folkestone... but sadly andrew had died surely it ws'nt the same man..? i did some phoning around and got in touch with my half brother mathew who said that dad had passed away in 2005... so it was the same guy who the old man had said i don'nt have a picture of my dad... but the old man has invited me this month to come along to the meeting witch is held once a year to meet all my dads army buddies.. i have just spoken to an old army guy (rab) and he has got a few pictures of my dad and he will bring them along . (WOW)
