‘TO
INSPIRE TO ACHIEVE’
-
The Army Cadet Force fulfils its Motto by providing friendship, self-confidence,
discipline and leadership. It also provides challenging activities
including adventurous training, sport, and expeditions. Of course
there are military activities, and there is a chance to take part
in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme.
- Not
only does the ACF meet on one night a week, there are also training
weekends and annual camps.
- The
ACF provides qualifications recognised by future employers.
- The
ACF is linked to a Regular Army Regiment or Corps. B (Borders Company
in the East, F(KOSB) company in the West and the
Glasgow and Lanarkshire Detachment are part of The King’s Own Scottish Borderers Association and Museum (web site: www.glasgowcadets.com).
