It is with deep regret that we inform you of the death of Jim McShane who sadly passed away on 26 January 2017 at the Alexandra Unit, Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary.

Jim served with the 1st Battalion, King’s Own Scottish Borderers during the 1960’s after serving for a period of time with the Royal Marines, additionally he served for over twenty years as the KOSB ACF Dumfries Detachment Commander.

Funeral details have been notified as Wednesday 8 February 2017 at 12.00pm

Location: Jardines Funeral Parlour, 23 Terregles Street, Dumfries DG2 9AA. Followed thereafter at St. Blanes Cemetery, Locharbriggs, Dumfries.

A post service reception will be held at: Locharbriggs Social Club, 22A Auchencrieff Road, Locharbriggs, Dumfries DG1 1XS
