It is with deep regret that we inform you of the death of John (Jack) Buckham KOSB who sadly passed away on Wednesday 30th August 2017 aged 79 at the Alexandria Unit, Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary.

Jack served with the 1st Battalion, King’s Own Scottish Borderers from 1955 to 1958 and served in Malaya during the Malayan Emergency.

On behalf of its members, the King’s Own Scottish Borderers Association has extended its sincere condolences and sympathy to Jack’s daughters, Jackie and Jill at this particularly difficult time.

Funeral arrangements have been notified as follows:

Time: 11.30 am

Refreshments will be served at 1 pm after the service at: The Tea Room (Next to The George Hotel), High Street, Moniaive, Thornhill, Dumfries & Galloway DG3 4HN.

Jack’s family have requested that Regimental, Club or ties with colour are to be worn – no black ties please”.
