Borderers, on this day in 1901 the Regiment would earn its first Victoria Cross, awarded to LT GUSTAVUS HB COULSONĀ  for gallantry in action during the Boer War.

” Members of the Association will recall we were looking at arranging a virtual tour of the Coulson VC battle ,and a visit to his grave, to be viewed on line. As might be expected ,the South African battlefield guide has been prevented from doing this , due to local restrictions, and apologises for his inability to deliver this to KOSB Association members.”
